More guitar greats and great composers

David Russell (Scotland) is my favorite classical guitar performer.  Here he is performing Choro No. 1 by the great Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos.  The "choro" is actually a pop song type from Brazil.  Mr. Russell still performs around the world and is a nice guy, too.

Jason Vieaux (USA) is the youngest person to have won the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America International Guitar Competition. He currently teaches in Cleveland, Ohio and at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, PA.

"Capricho Arabe," by Francisco Tarrega, is one of the most famous guitar pieces ever written. It literally mean Arabian caprice. A caprice is a short energetic piece of music.

Sharon Isbin is playing in Philadelphia this April! Ms. Isbin is renowned for her orchestral work as well as her solo guitar work.

Augustin Barrios is the most famous composer from Paraguay. He was a virtuoso (very technically accomplished) guitarist that held a very special pride in the native culture of Paraguay.
